Carr Rambler designet ble påbegynt lenge før Steve Carr begynte å produsere amper under Carr logoen, på grunnlag av diverse mods & fixes på klassiske røramper.

Ampen leverer utvidet clean headroom, solid bass respons og en amerikansk crunch en kan dø av.

Carr Rambler er fremdeles den mestselgende Carr ampen og Steve forklarer det på følgende måte: 'The Rambler simply reflects my desire to improve and refine the original concept of an appropriately powered 1x12 club amp with reverb and tremolo.'

Rambler leverer en typisk Deluxe tone med reverb og tremolo i enten 14W triode eller 28W pentode modus.  Carr Rambler eiere beskriver ampen som varm, full og rund.

I was immediately impressed with the clean tone of the Carr Rambler. After playing through it for a few minutes, I was even more amazed. It has a beautiful clean rhythm sound much like a blackface Fender amp, but with it's own magic twist to it.
